DESIGN CONCEPT
Nestled in shanghai's pudong district, the ifc residence was conceived as a 'contemporary mansion', captivating the spirit of a stately home. designer André Fu of AFSO, sought to layer a sense of arrival by introducing a sequence of chambers, including the library lounge, the terrace overlooking lujiazui park, and the intimate living room complete with an open fireplace to transcend a lifestyle of residential intimacy. ifc residence's highly architectural and balanced design language is revealed in fu's thoughtful use of intricate materials and textures, iconic lighting features, and the extensive use of hand-embroidered wall paneling, along with the residence's specially commissioned sculpture collection by an array of internationally acclaimed artists.
